VMMissions Centennial Celebration

Virginia Mennonite Missions is celebrating 100 years of making disciples as a mission agency. VMMissions equips the church to share new life in Jesus Christ with neighbors near and far. VMMissions envisions a Spirit-filled church of many cultures living out God’s kingdom in every sphere of life. This centennial year, VMMissions is celebrating the sewn seed that bore fruit during the past 100 years and is launching forward with new seed in response to the Spirit’s leading for our next century. We are committed to faithfulness, partnership, and transformation.

We invite you to celebrate the past with us and partner with us to sow seeds into the next century. You will enjoy browsing through the album of photos within this centennial website and the website and album will expand over the coming years. Two videos are being produced to reflect the role of VMMissions in building God’s kingdom. The short video will be ready for our centennial worship and commissioning service on Thursday evening, July 18, as part of the Virginia Mennonite Conference’s annual assembly. An inaugural showing of a featured Centennial Video will be part of our annual banquet at Park View Mennonite Church on Saturday, November 2 at 5:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Also at PVMC that weekend, the Festival of Praise concert will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. VMMissions will dedicate the entire fall edition of the Transforming magazine to this milestone year.
